November 7, 2021 "Structural health monitoring, damages identification and durability assessment of constructions by sensors and smartphone-based technique"
Antonio Mulone, post doc at Chalmers University of Technology - Göteborgcon, Soughah Alsamahi and Daniel Llort from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of UAE-Dubai, presented on 7 Nov. the paper "Structural health monitoring, damages identification and durability assessment of constructions by sensors and smartphone-based technique". Research promoted by Geolab and Temlab, with the recognition of the Emirate Ministry and the participation of Prof. Antonina Pirrotta of the University of Palermo and her team. The research, coordinated by the scientific referent Prof. Emerito PF La Mantia and directed by Dr. Mulone, concerns the predictive diagnostic testing of the corrosion risk of reinforced concrete structures (SHM) and the application of smart methodologies (crowdsense) for the dynamic characterisation of road infrastructures, currently at an advanced stage of experimentation, in accordance with the philosophy of " smart road and smart infrastructure ". Intervention appreciated for its high innovation and technological capacity.
